We are sorry to hear that the Shiatsu Foot Massager is causing pain instead of reliving it; that is not our goal. Shiatsu massage techniques target key pressure points to relax tense muscles and alleviate foot strain; this massager will target key pressure points such as the toes, arch, heel, and sides, to stimulate circulation with rolling and comfort with kneading and pulsing.
Now the first few moments you have your feet in the massager can be a little tense-but as soon as your muscles begin to loosen up, you will feel much more relaxed. Everybody has different pain tolerances, and we completely understand if you are unable to withstand the pressure this massager uses. We are more than happy to start the returns process if you feel the need to, but we ask that you try some of the tips and tricks listed below.
1. Wear socks while using the machine or lay a towel down
Wearing socks or lying a towel down creates a barrier between the rollers and your feet to help soften the pressure. It also creates less friction while using the machine.
2. Use the massager in shorter sessions
Sometimes it takes a few sessions for your body to get used to the massager. Try using it in shorter sessions; it can be somewhat intense if you have not had a foot massage in a while.
3. Ask your doctor if the Shiatsu Foot Massager is right for you
Some of our customers with health issues are unable to use the massager, so if you have a pacemaker or any other health issues that could cause problems with your feet or legs, we recommend that you discuss your foot massage frequency and intensity with your doctor.
